01 — Heritage

A family house turned agro-industrial complex

Founded in 1961 by the Lahbabi family, the Société Industrielle Oléicole de Fès offers Moroccan and international consumers a wide range of olive-sector products. Olive crushing, pomace-oil extraction, edible-oil refining, the bottling of table, olive and sunflower oils, and the preserving of olives and capers form the heart of the business.

Constantly seeking improvement, SIOF invests in research and development, commits to international quality standards and has made the 3Ps — People, Planet, Profit — a strategic axis of development.

Edible-oil refining since 1966, pomace-oil extraction — 1,200 t of fresh pomace a day — and packing in glass, PET, bulk and flexi tanks.

09 — History

Six decades on, nine milestones

  1. 1961 SIOF is founded by the Lahbabi family, building its base on olive crushing, pomace-oil extraction and olive preserving.
  2. 1966 Authorisation to build an edible-oil refining plant — a key step in the company’s expansion.
  3. 1986 Nationwide extension: depots in Marrakech, Oujda, Casablanca, Oued Zem and Meknès.
  4. 2007 Creation of the Domaine El Hamd subsidiary, with a 220-hectare olive plantation and an oil-extraction unit.
